Life has offered me both love and hate. I chose love and it has brought me here-ALLA RAKHA REHMAN,on winning the academy award for Best Original Score.
He rose to fame with Roja…back in early 90s.I know that most of you probably know who A.R. Rahman is by now. What you probably don’t know is that his music in Slumdog Millionaire was not his best work by a long shot.Roja,Swades,Dil Se,Bombay,Saathiya and many more hidden here and there were much better. But they didn’t reach the Oscars, Slumdog did and that’s what counts in the end. The sheer humbleness of that guy is amazing. Wonder how he does that.
Its interesting, how such a humble personality can change the very way music is looked at. If it was not for this great man, India would have never been proud to be a nation of lustrous music. Hats-off!
