Happy Independence Day

Happy independence day!!

This independence day I want to say a few things....I am not gonna talk about some big issues, blaming system, mud-slinging political parties, selfish politicians... but rather about little things which are in our hands.

We can be little more civilized. I still remember my cousin told me when she went to Singapore, she met a couple of people from Singapore and the moment she told them she is from India. Most of the times the immediate reaction was India is a dirty country! Of course for any proud Indian it will be something tough to accept. And when she told me I was like Nooo, it's not that "dirty". The immediate and very obvious question from my cousin was ...Is it as clean as Singapore? I preferred to keep quiet :( India is a poor country undoubtedly sounds better than India is a dirty country. It was so embarrassing for me. But here people litter public places! I often find people throwing garbage in public transport .People throwing the stuff out of the windows of their cars. Ofcourse the car belongs to them and they want to keep it clean but so does this Country!

Please try to understand the meaning of Queue. Ofcourse I am not talking about the literal meaning. It really pisses me off when at the times I am standing in a queue and I find people breaking the queue and moving ahead.

Show some decency in the public places. Trust me junta this is so disgusting to see people standing exactly in front of doors of trains and buses (seems as if they are all set for head-on collision)! I noticed the same thing when I went to Delhi and travelled in the metro. They don't even bother to let the people come out. Show some decency towards Women (I hope I don't need to elaborate this one).

Don't let the vote bank politics, corrupt politicians and system full of flaws stop you from voting. Not only voting but voting wisely and honestly. Being hindu or muslim should not be a criteria to get your vote. Don't sell your vote for new rupees or goodies.

Let's not support the caste based quotas which rather then helping people is actually causing discrimination among them.

Be a good citizen and do remember your fundamental duties besides your fundamental rights.
Most importantly don't let wrong things ruin your own inner sense of right and wrong.
